Role and Responsibilities.
- Perform all duties in a professional manner, ensuring all behaviours and actions are appropriate and compliant with the workplace policies & legislation.
- Actively participate and contribute to the organisations Quality and Business Management system processes.
- Provide technical advice to internal stakeholders where required for the formulation of quotes, job estimates and effective resource utilisation.Additional duties may be required from time to time. In line with normal expectations of tradecraft classifications as outlined within the Manufacturing industries and associated occupations award.
- Demonstrate effective and accurate time keeping capabilities at all times. Reporting operational particulars diligently and in line with the organisation’s requirements.
- Maintain unit operational equipment resources, ensuring repairs and maintenance is arranged and conducted.
- Accurately read and interpret and work efficiently and effectively to engineering drawings, schematics, and instructions.
- Utilise complex measuring, monitoring, and technical equipment. Where required. Actively seek and participate in organisational training activities. Furthering capabilities through increased knowledge and capabilities.
- Work effectively to comply with relevant industry standards and best practices for service delivery. Contributing to the development and compliance of reporting and inspection standards.
- Seek technical advice from internal stakeholders as required to effect high quality service outputs.Create an environment where apprentices are grown and developed for the mutual benefit of them and the organisation. Providing and facilitating training, support, and exposure to a range of suitable jobs and education opportunities.
- Effectively collaborate and work in small teams within the service department business units. Both adding to and leveraging skills of other roles to overcome challenges and deliver high performing outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for personal growth and communicate through internal channels to contribute to improved outcomes.
- Identify risks to Service unit outputs and propose solutions to control. Communicate risks identified and solutions proposed to Technical Leading Hand and Service Manager.
About You
- Experience and demonstrated ability in working within a small team with tradecraft expertise.
- Sound communication skills, both written and verbal to skilfully communicate with trade and craft qualified individuals.
- Effective application of rational and focused problem solving, enabling quick and accurate problem resolution within department and area of expertise.
- Contributes to best practice processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Sound organisational, planning and time management skills.
- Ability to Influence and facilitate the continued growth of a positive and productive workplace culture, aligned with the company’s strategic objectives, vision and values.
- Knowledgeable in contemporary hydraulic and technical practices and procedures.
- Understanding of modern fault finding and testing practices.
- Effective communication skills.
- Trade or tertiary level qualification in relevant industry
- A current C class Drivers Licence (C)
- A current High Risk Forklift Licence
- At Least 2-5 years experience.
