Client seeking Diesel Mechanic for their Rochester depot. The Role
You will be working on a wide variety of Volvo, Mack and UD models from Pre-Delivery, general service, heavy repairs to the technical electrical work, not forgetting Hybrid buses. With the option of working in general service, heavy repairs or even our bus department across a variety of shift patterns.
Working a minimum of 38 hours per week, Monday - Saturday.
Main Responsibilities:
Repairs, service and inspections to engines, gearboxes, brakes, diffs etc. on a wide range of trucks and buses.
Diagnostic analysis using the latest diagnostic software and computer equipment
Produce clear and concise reports detailing all work carried out on repair orders, including supplies used and recommendations in a prioritised order
Provide support and guidance to Apprentice mechanics / mechanics / trade assistants
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum certificate 3 mechanical trade certificate/qualification
Experience in the Heavy Vehicle industry with experience with working on American, European or Japanese drivelines.
Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a customer-focused team
A current HC/HR drivers' licence is desirable
Pride in your work with an ability to work to targets and high standards
High levels of motivation, reliability with a can-do, positive attitude
Effective communication skills with a commitment to workplace safety
Own tools (specialised tooling available from clients in house tool room!)
