About the role
We have position available for an experienced Diesel Mechanic /Automotive Technician with truck experience to join our team working in our Field Service team You will be required to Travel to Sites in metro and outer metro Adelaide to undertake the Repairs and rectify breakdowns of customer fleet equipment whilst providing excellent customer service.
the role is is not the heavy onsite repairs of traditional field service of pulling out engines and transmissions onsite or carrying out 2000hr services , its majority maintaining several fleets of equipment that is all between new and 10 year old including Isuzu trucks N and F series , earthmoving equipment ( excavators upto 8tonne) , and plant trailers and carrying out basic maintenance to keep fleet safe and compliant , below what a random day has been for a tech last week drive around Adelaide driving a modern fully Maintained company vehicle doing basic fleet maintenance
one of the days this week for one of our field techs :
Travel into office to get jobs for today
travel to a broken Beacon onsite at hope valley
travel to fix an air leak on a trailer at burnside
travel to changing a flat tire at noarlunga,
travel to changing a mirror at Happy Valley
the majority of work is basic maintenance done onsite to reduce customer downtime, and keep the safety compliance of the customers fleet all major repairs and servicing are done back at workshop

Key Responsibilities
- All Repair and maintenance requirements on the customer’s fleet
- Ability to work autonomously and provide exceptional customer service
- Ability to communicate effectively and in a timely manner with fellow colleagues, customers, and drivers
- Document all repairs including parts usage
- Strong Work and Health Safety commitment
Demonstrated Skills & Experience
- Australian Recognised Mechanical trade certificate/qualification with experience in Heavy Vehicle industry, Light Vehicle Mechanics with truck experienced are encouraged to apply
- Ability to work unsupervised with exceptional organisation skills
- Current HR drivers licence desirable
- High level of attention to detail and customer focus
- Forklift Licence (Desirable)
