Job Description
We are very excited to offer a highly sought-after Dietitian role that will be a part of our incredible Allied Health team at Epworth Richmond!
This is a full time, fixed term Parental Leave Cover position.
Applications are invited from innovative, passionate and highly motivated Dietitians committed to evidence based and multidisciplinary care. Working as part of a small Dietetics team, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the nutritional needs of inpatients. Clinical areas include surgical, critical care, gastroenterology, orthopaedics, neurology, ICU, dialysis, cardiorespiratory, oncology and medical.

You will make an impact by:
- Promoting and providing dietetic and nutritional intervention across a range of inpatient wards and outpatient services
- Providing evidence-based nutrition intervention advice, support, counselling and education to patients and family/carers
- Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care using a patient-centred approach
- Actively participating in quality activities ensuring opportunities for improvement are actively explored and best practice is achieved
- Participating in team professional development and student supervision
- Demonstrating empathy and compassion and encourage patient and family members participation in all stages of care
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience in an acute hospital setting (minimum of 4 years)
- Commitment to best practice and working within a multidisciplinary team
- Well-developed time management, prioritisation and communication skills
- The ability to work with key stakeholders to deliver excellent patient care and outcomes
- A quality and risk focused approach to clinical practice, patient care and decision making

Qualifications
- Bachelor/Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent
- Eligible for full membership of Dietitians Australia (DA)
- Eligible for Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) Program
