About the role
We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Digital Communications professional to join our Marketing and Communications team.
The team is responsible for creating innovative communications content that engages and informs our community and promotes Council’s wide range of programs, services, facilities, and events.
Our Digital Communications Coordinator will support the execution of the City of Marion’s communication strategy by creating interesting, accurate and innovative content that connects with our community across a range of digital platforms. This includes producing videos, graphic designs and photographic images that are effective in reaching a diverse range of target audiences. The role will support City of Marion events and will be required to undertake some out of hours work as required.
About you
As our new Digital Communications Coordinator reporting directly to the Unit Manager Marketing and Communications, you will play a key role in shaping and growing the City of Marion’s social media and web presence as well as introducing new digital platforms with the aim of improving City of Marion’s identity, brand and presence in the community and strengthening our communications with stakeholders and the broader community.
It is essential that you hold tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, multimedia, or related field or have significant industry experience in a similar position.
