  • Up to $93,852* p.a. total salary package ($79,741 - $84,552 + 11%* super) 
  • Full-Time, Temporary contract (2 years + 1 year option)

We're seeking a talented Digital and Content Officer to join our team to connect our brand with the community through captivating content.

You will need to be passionate about digital storytelling, be across the latest trends and passionate about utilising digital technology in innovative ways. We are looking for someone who thrives putting their creativity to use and enjoys working in a friendly team.

As our Digital and Content Officer, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Engaging our community across various digital channels, including social media, e-news, website, and internal communications.
  • Creating compelling content that adds value to our community and showcases our brand.
  • Keeping our digital communications in check by assisting with governance and improvement projects.
  • Assisting with identifying digital communication trends and opportunities.
  • Coordinating the training and providing support for social media and other digital champions within the City.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Desirable - Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, media, or other relevant field. 
  • 2+ years of marketing and communications experience.
  • On-page search engine optimisation (SEO) experience.
  • You understand how to make our content shine and attract attention from search engines.
  • Knowledge of web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.0). 
  • CMS skills – experience in publishing website content, and hands-on experience with digital tools, CRM systems, and analytics platforms.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of developing and executing digital communication strategies across various platforms.
  • Ability to craft high-quality, compelling content to targeted audiences.
  • Excellent proofreading and research abilities.
  • Design skills – you’re comfortable with Canva and can create visual pieces that are captivating.
