Digital Content Producer

Level/Salary: Level 4, $87,712 - $92,057 p.a. (PSCSAA 2022)

This is a pool recruitment process (Ref 00959). This pool will run for a period of twelve (12) months and may be used to fill ongoing fixed term contracts, secondments, acting/relieving and permanent opportunities.

There is currently one (1) full-time permanent vacancy available to be filled immediately.

POSITION OBJECTIVE

This role generates Digital Content for use on Western Australia Police Force (WA Police Force) online resources, including authorised WA Police Force website and social media accounts, and for provision to mainstream media as part of coordinated public awareness strategies.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Please ensure you complete, sign and scan the Integrity Check Consent Form (refer attached) and submit it along with your application (the Integrity Check Consent Form is not required for current WA Police Force employees).

Applicants are asked to address the following nominated work related requirements in no more than two (2) pages:

  • Ability to produce, edit and manage digital video content using a variety of professional formats, including production, camera, sound recording and editing techniques - Using associated equipment including video cameras, tripods, lights and accessories. Creating and distributing Digital Content. Assembling raw footage from a variety of formats, digitally editing files, testing the finished product and distributing as required.
  • Ability to use computer hardware and software to post produce digital materials - Utilising use social media platforms and website content management systems. Providing technical support to staff. Creating graphic design work. Converting video and audio content in compressed formats. Using computer systems to distribute and publish digital materials as required.

Applicants are also required to submit a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV). Your CV should provide enough detail (dot points are sufficient) to allow the selection panel to assess your skills and experience relevant to the Key Accountabilities of the attached Position Description Form.

The CV must also include the names and contact details of two (2) referees who can comment on the applicant's ability to satisfy all of the Essential Work Related Requirements. Applicants should nominate at least one immediate (most contemporary) supervisor/manager unless exceptional circumstances exist.

Please note: For applicants deemed suitable, all Essential Work Related Requirements listed in the Position Description Form will be assessed at some stage during the selection process.

OTHER CONDITIONS

In addition to the above mentioned vacancy, a POOL is being created to fill future vacancies that may arise within the metropolitan area. This POOL will remain active for a period of twelve (12) months from the initial appointment. Applicants who are assessed as 'suitable' at the completion of this process, will be placed in the POOL and may be considered for future permanent and temporary vacancies as they become available.

Once an applicant from the POOL accepts a permanent position via this selection process, that applicant will be removed from the POOL. Applicants who accept a temporary vacancy will remain in the POOL and will continue to be considered for permanent opportunities as they arise.

Where an applicant in the POOL declines an opportunity (either permanent or temporary), that applicant may forfeit their right to be considered before other suitable applicants who were identified to be less competitive.

Integrity and criminal checks will be conducted if the recommended applicant for a position is not a current WA Police Force employee. Any relocation costs associated with appointment to these positions may be the responsibility of the successful applicants.
