What are we looking for?
We are seeking a motivated candidate to develop Digital Marketing concepts alongside the marketing team. With continued expansion, we are looking for a creative and highly organised marketer to join our team. The right candidate can be a university student as this is a casual position of two days per week. Adequate training will be provided. There will be the opportunity for career progression for the right candidate.
This is a group wide role working across a variety of Hotel Venues, Retail Bottle Shops, Water and Civil Construction, Gelato Retail Stores and Commercial and Retail Butchers.
Reporting of the Role
The role reports to the Marketing Manager.
Essential requirements for the Role
- Current Marketing or (Digital) Communications student.
- Strong interest in social media marketing.
- Interest working across multiple industries (hospitality, gelato, retail)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and take initiative to complete tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in using social media platforms, specifically Instagram and Facebook.
- Detail-oriented with a creative mindset.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Create and schedule engaging content across various digital platforms, including social media, website, and email & SMS marketing campaigns.
- Craft compelling copy for social media posts and other promotional assets.
- Assist the Marketing team with ad hoc tasks, including uploading, editing, and managing the back end of our websites.
- Assist the Marketing team with implementing new SMS and Email marketing platform.
- Demonstrate a keen eye for design, contributing to the visual aesthetic of all brand guidelines.
- Utilise design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign.
- Manage social scheduling platforms (Meta Business Suite) to ensure consistent and timely content distribution.
- Maintain excellent written communication skills to effectively convey brand messaging and engage with our audience.
To be successful in the role you will have the following knowledge, skills, and attributes:
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign.
- Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- A creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and contribute innovative ideas.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with Mailchimp is advantageous.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well with others and contribute to the positive work environment.
- Displays an empathetic, caring attitude to all.
