About Us
We’re locally owned, family operated and have been conducting tours since 1986. We specialise in water-based tours such as White-Water Rafting and River Tubing, and also rainforest experience day trips with Tablelands Waterfalls tours plus Cape Tribulation, Daintree and Mossman Gorge tours. Cairns Adventure Group is the parent company for 9 brands: Foaming Fury, Raging Thunder Adventures, RnR Rafting, Aussie Drifterz, Waterfall Wanderers, Active Tropics Explorer along with Bad Fishy, Cairns Boat Hire and Cairns River Cruises. We have over 100 staff currently working across our multiple Cairns locations.
The Role
As our Digital Marketing & Social Media Lead, you'll be the voice of Cairns Adventure Group, crafting and executing strategies that showcase our unique experiences. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, driving engagement and conversion through compelling content and innovative campaigns. This role is a perfect blend of strategy and execution, ideal for someone who loves to see their ideas come to life and make a real impact. Flexible/full-time hours for the right candidate to work in our Head office in North Cairns.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Digital Marketing and Social Media strategy to enhance our online presence, engage with our audience, and drive bookings.
- Create captivating content across multiple platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok) that highlights our adventures, culture, and the natural beauty of our locations.
- Manage and grow our online community, fostering an inclusive and engaging environment.
- Analyse performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to maximize reach and ROI.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure brand consistency and to brainstorm innovative marketing ideas.
- Stay ahead of Digital Marketing trends and adapt strategies to keep Cairns Adventure Group at the forefront of the Adventure Tourism industry.

Key Requirements
- Proven experience in Digital Marketing and Social Media management, preferably in the tourism, outdoor, or adventure sectors.
- Strong content creation skills, with a portfolio showcasing your ability to capture and engage an audience.
- Proficiency in SEO, content marketing, Social Media platforms, and analytics tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for adventure, the outdoors, and a commitment to environmental conservation.
