This company is part of the world’s largest supplier in their sector, providing innovative/creative printed products and technologies that support governments across the world. The Australasian business has been the principal supplier within Australia and New Zealand for more than 60 years and we are seeking a talented Digital Print Coordinator/Technician to join our team in Queensland.
You will be tasked with preparing print jobs and exercising great precision with the Digital Printer equipment and make the final checks to ensure text and images are perfect before moving on to the printed image.
You have a strong flatbed print and design background and are known for your great attention to detail and would be keen to head up a small team of Digital Print operators and provide ongoing training, support, assistance with set up and operational maintenance of the Digital Printing area.
Other skills you can bring to the role include:
- Sound knowledge of RIP software, material handling and substrates
- Ability to identify quality issues and solve technical problems
- Sound understanding of production and contractural deadlines
- A high level of computer skills
- Willingness to learn new processes and new equipment
- A desire for long term, stable employment
- Teamwork disposition to work easily with the group digital team
This role reports to the Group Graphic Artist in Queensland for all technical matters and the Production Manager on site for HR and operational requirements.
This is a complex business that requires an analytical, detailed and process driven thinker with a high level of problem solving and communication skills that can prioritise workloads, meet strict deadlines and targets.
