About the Role
ABC News is looking for an experienced Digital Producer to commission and produce innovative and engaging Tasmanian content from the Hobart newsroom.
Reporting to the Tasmania News Editor, you will:
Commission, produce, and sub digital content (text, photos, audio and video) using CoreMedia and other production systems.
Contribute ideas for digital coverage of Tasmanian stories, events and issues.
Provide editorial and creative direction to staff to achieve and maintain high production standards.
Play a leading role in the mobile-first digital transformation of the Tasmanian newsroom and ABC News.
About You
We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and creative Digital Producer, who can make a significant and positive contribution to the Hobart team.
You will also have the following skills and experience:
Accomplished digital journalism skills with experience working in a news environment.
Strong understanding of online news, including social media and methods of online content distribution.
A wide range of knowledge of local, national and international news issues.
Advanced ability to use audience analytics to guide editorial decision-making and story treatment.
Attention to detail and strong time management skills.
