What you'll be doingThe Digital Risk and Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the information security management strategy in accordance with NSW, Australian and international standards and best practice to support the business needs and strategic objectives of Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) and Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD).
Selection Criteria
- Experience and a record of achievement in cybersecurity advisory and consultancy, ideally in a large and complex service industry organisation and/or certifications/qualifications in ICT and Cybersecurity, or equivalent, with internationally recognisable qualifications.
- Demonstrated experience, knowledge and understanding of Australian and International standards and frameworks for Risk Management and Information Security Management and their application across a diverse organisation.
- Demonstrable experience of risk assessment, cybersecurity best practice and practical application of cybersecurity controls, with the ability to design cybersecurity controls that meet the requirements of the business strategy, in a large and complex service industry and across the whole IT life cycle.
- Excellent understanding and experience in incident response, vulnerability management, cybersecurity operations or cyber threat intelligence
- Practical experience with cybersecurity technologies including, but not limited to: firewalls; web and mail gateway filtering; AV; IDS/IPS; WAF; SIEM; FIM; IDAM; security monitoring; threat intelligence; and security analytics.
- Demonstrated high level of analytical skills and the ability to develop new or revised approaches to the assessment, development and implementation of information technology and telecommunications systems.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to clearly articulate complex cybersecurity concepts to a broad and diverse audience.
- Evidence of a current unrestricted driver’s licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
