A fantastic opportunity now exists for an enthusiastic Service Technician/Engineer, where your experience in any or all areas, such as Photographic, Photocopiers/Scanners, Digital Photography or Micrographic Digitisation systems, would be an advantage.
Based in Melbourne, with some interstate travel, you will be reporting directly to the Engineering Manager where your proven track record for providing exceptional technical support, will be the key to your success and customer satisfaction.

Your role will involve:
- Carrying out installation, maintenance, repairs and testing in all aspects of Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Photographic and Micrographics equipment.
- Maintaining the safety and integrity of all serviced products in accordance with all relevant safety standards and Company Policy
- Ensuring maximum uptime on all equipment
- Maintaining and managing sufficient spare parts stock
- Ensuring machine operators are aware of operating and emergency procedures
- Undergoing factory training as required
- Interstate travel throughout the year with an average of between 5-20 days interstate
- Assist in all engineering requirements including but not limited to equipment technical support
To be successful in this position, you will possess:
- Proven field service experience
- Mechanical and/or Electronics background
- Digital Electronic and/or photo optics experience
- Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills and ability
- Demonstrated ability to operate small hand tools, soldering, power tools and test/inspection equipment
- Quick learning skills, prepared to learn new machines and systems as required
- The ability to understand the issues and provide appropriate solutions
- Strong time management skills with an ability to meet company performance targets
- Have a passion for delivering excellent customer service, be well presented, confident and courteous when interacting with staff and clients (as required)
- Computer literacy
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skill
- The ability to work without direct supervision and/or within a team environment
- A current ACT driver's license is essential
Working hours:
- Flexible 8 hours per day; or 40 hours per week
- Overtime maybe needed at times due to the demand in technical support.
