Senior Educator: Full time
What you'll do
- As a Diploma qualified Educator, you will work as part of a team to provide high quality Early Childhood education and care to children and to support the implementation of an approved learning framework.
- You will develop and maintain nurturing relationships and communicate positively and openly with children on an ongoing basis, as well as promote and guide positive behaviour.

Your team
SDN Pyrmont is a 38-place centre providing quality Early Childhood education and child care for children from birth to school age in central Sydney.
We are located in a picturesque historic building which housed Pyrmont Public School in the 1800s, and we're lucky to share the building with Pyrmont Community Centre and an Out of School Hours Care service run by the City of Sydney. This gives our centre the wonderful and unique benefit of seeming like a small village, despite being in the city. Children see friends after ballet class or play with school-aged siblings in the afternoons.
Who you are
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Current Working with Children's Check (NSW)
- Knowledge of the National Quality Standards
- Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework
- Experience in a similar role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate
- Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates (preferable)
- Excellent relationship building skills
- Understanding of Child Protection legislation and holds an approved and current Child Protection Training qualification
