An exciting opportunity exists to work within a team of community-based Early Childhood Dietitians.The Early Childhood Nutrition Service provides a community-based paediatric nutrition service for children aged between 0-5 years of age, within the Healthy Kids & Families Directorate of the South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD). The service supports families across SWSLHD, specifically those who have been identified as vulnerable to poor nutrition & health outcomes. The service also supports other health professionals working with children aged 0-5 years through education, research & consultancy.This position is also recruiting for the Maternal Early Childhood Sustaining Home-visiting (MECSH) program. The MECSH program is delivered as part of a comprehensive, integrated approach to services for young children & their families. The dietitian provides specialised dietetics service to the multidisciplinary team. The dietitian will apply expert knowledge demonstrated by active participation in team meetings, multidisciplinary case review, care planning, & providing consultation & education for the MECSH team members.Life at SWSLHD is rewarding, progressive & diverse. This position is responsible for providing patient centred and high quality nutrition services to clients in Bankstown, Rosemeadow and Narellan, including providing nutritional care to patients as per caseload; provide and participate in education and evaluation; supervise students and Level 1-2 dietitian as appropriate; and participate in ongoing professional development.Where You'll Be Working

- Relevant clinical experience including demonstrated advanced practice skills and management of complex case load.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including group education skills and excellent computer skills including CBORD
- Experience and knowledge in service development and quality improvement
- Demonstrated commitment to continued professional development and evidence based practice
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of the team
- Demonstrated ability in clinical supervision of students and/or staff
- Must possess a valid Australian Drivers Licence (excluding learner driver's licences). If not already in possession, a NSW Drivers Licence must be obtained within 3 months of appointment.
