About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Diploma Trained Educator at our Occasional Care Centre reporting to the Coordinator – Family Day Care and Occasional Care. You will be working with a team to provide a safe, stimulating, healthy and caring environment for up to a maximum of 25 children in a mixed age setting. which fosters and maximizes each child’s individual development potential and to contribute to the educational curriculum that demonstrates the learning practice outcomes outlined in the Early Years Learning Framework.
There is flexibility for this position to be either Monday to Friday (37.5 hours) or Tuesday to Friday (30 hours) depending on your preference, working between the hours of 8.30-4.30 only.
So what do you need?
- Diploma Level Education and Care qualification (Or working towards)
- Working with Children Check clearance
- Current First Aid Certificate - Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting
- Demonstrated experience working in accordance with the National Quality Framework in providing an education and Care Service
- Excellent organisational and planning skills, being able to work to deadlines and set priorities
- Demonstrated ability to work and contribute as part of a team
