About us
We are a small boutique children's service offering education and care to 22 children daily. We have been serving the local community since 1972, with the current owner since 1998. From the moment you enter we hope you will feel like you belong and will want to make this a position you feel you want to stay in for many years to come. We pride ourselves on our relationships with our families, our children and each other. We are eager for a new permanent educators to join our team and will encourage your ideas and input into the service from the moment you start. We hope you can find your new happy place with us!
Qualifications & experience
- We are looking for Diploma trained educators with experience , as well as those just starting their careers.
- We are open to educators looking for part time positions, some flexibility available regarding hours (including school hours available)
- We are looking for casual employees wanting weekly shifts at the same service.
- We are looking for certificate 3 educators to sign up for a Diploma traineeship (part time). Must have a cert 3 in ECEC and be able to upgrade to Diploma.
- Family friendly hours on offer (service opens 8am to 5pm)
- All applicants must have or be willing to obtain the paid working with children check.
- All applicants must have or be willing to get a recognised first aid certificate.
- Most of all you must love children, have great communication skills and a willingness to learn new things!
Tasks & responsibilities
- Applicants will become part of a small team of educators caring for 22 children per day in a one room setting.
- You will be working closely with families, children and other educators to develop positive relationships and a quality early learning environment.
- Diploma trained educators will be given time each week to develop educational programs and collaborate with your team.
- You will have opportunities to feel valued by contributing your ideas on community engagement, sustainability, reconciliation and the quality improvement plan.
- Of course safety is our priority, all educators will need to ensure a safe environment, following policies and procedures at all times.
- If applying for a traineeship, you will have paid study time and be offered a supportive environment from experienced educators, where you will be an important part of the team.
