About Mental Health at Monash Health
The Mental Health program aims to deliver high quality Mental Health care to people living in the South Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne and is one of the largest Mental Health programs in Victoria delivering services across the lifespan.
The Mental Health Program is organised into the following and each has a designated Operations Director and Unit Director working in partnership together and have Operational Managers and local Team Managers across all services within the program:

- Dandenong Adult Mental Health Services (Dandenong AMHS)

The Adult Mental Health Service (AMHS) Casey provides individualised, consumer centred care for adults aged 18 – 65 years living in the City of Casey and the Shire of Cardinia, aiming to improve Mental Health and wellbeing,
Casey AMHS comprises the entire spectrum of care with Emergency Psychiatric Services, Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team, PACER, Hospital in the Home team, Inpatient Psychiatric Units (Ward D and E) based at Casey Hospital, CCT based at Pakenham and Cranbourne, Acute and Extended PARCS, State-wide Transition Support Unit and the Adult Mental Health and Intellectual Disability Initiative.
About the Role
- To support and assist the Service Director in the provision of high-quality psychiatry services, consistent with Monash Health values.
- Medical model of care at Monash Health is “consultant led”. Consultants are at the forefront of care provision and lead by example.
- Provide clinical leadership through active involvement in patient care.
- Be available to medical colleagues for consultation and liaison as appropriate regarding patient care.
- Be immediately available for urgent consultation and assistance in the management of clinically deteriorating patients.
- Support academic, research, education, training & supervision (both undergraduate and postgraduate) roles in the Casey Adult Mental Health Service.
- Support the Adult Psychiatry Unit’s outreach services within Monash Health
- Contribute to the professional and corporate life of Monash Health by participation in appropriate committees and fora.
- Contribute to ongoing service improvement and clinical and workforce innovation to ensure Monash Health provides high quality accessible Psychiatry Services within allocated resources and meets the needs of Monash Health patients.

- Fellowship of the RANZCP or equivalent
- Extensive experience in Psychiatry (minimum 5 years as Consultant Psychiatrist).
- Working with Children's Check
