The Director City Data position is CoM’s Chief Data Officer responsible for the strategic oversight, guidance and delivery of community and organisational data and insights. In this role, you will lead and guide CoM’s transition to becoming a global leader in data-enabled, evidence based, city decision making that is admired, and influences key partners and stakeholders within the private and public sectors.
This is an exciting role brimming with opportunity to influence organisational data practices including, effective data governance frameworks and leading the delivery of CoM’s data strategy. You will inherit a team of data expertswho are keen to be part of the continual evolution of how our organisation utilises the power of data to bring positive community outcomes to life.

- You are a leader who has a natural coaching, empowering and mentoring style and develops high performing and collaborative teams;
- You are an exceptional relationship builder and communicator, always providing stakeholders with a positive experience reflective of the values and behaviours of CoM;
- You have a collaborative work style and will actively contribute to strategic planning, implementation and achievement of organisation wide initiatives;
- Confident in presenting, you will profile CoM’s Data and Insights capability in national and international forums to ensure CoM is positioned and recognised as a global leader in government data practices;
- You will bring your expertise in leading a data and insights team, with a forward thinking outlook keen to explore new and better ways of working.
