- Manage the provision of services by the Communications Centre, and the service's radio communications infrastructure.
- Provide strategic and operational planning advice and management for the Chief Executive in accordance with the Ambulance Tasmania Business Plan or as directed by the Executive Director of Operations.
- Ensure the efficient and effective management of the Communications Centre by:
- Setting and monitoring performance standards, including operational, clinical and financial standards.
- Planning and implementing operational and strategic objectives for the Communications Centre to promote a culture of continual improvement and ensure high levels of operational resilience and redundancy.
- Supporting the provision of and effective use of information feedback systems relating to the Communications Centre to support meeting organisational objectives.
- Ensure the provision of services by Communications Centre is in accordance with the Ambulance Tasmania business plan or as directed by the Executive Director of Operations.
- Be accountable for all financial, administrative and operational functions and resources with the Communications Centre according to Ambulance Tasmania and Department of Health (DoH) policy and relevant legislation.
- Manage Ambulance Tasmania's radio communications infrastructure.
- Provide strategic planning to facilitate the use of contemporary technology and work practices by the Communications Centre to ensure high levels of operational resilience and redundancy.
- Actively participate in an annual Performance Development Appraisal (PDA) and ensure PDAs are in place for all available staff within the Communications Centre.
- Frequent communication with organisations and people outside the Department
- Intra-state and interstate travel is required
Fixed term, full time day work (with on-call), working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of 12 months.

Salary
$172,924 per annum (pro rata) + 11% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- Salary range is in accordance with Ambulance Tasmania Agreement 2022
Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Registered with the Paramedicine Board of Australia.
- Holds a Bachelor of Paramedic Science or other qualification approved by the Service and relevant work experience with an additional qualification in management or equivalent.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Management qualifications or substantial managerial experience at senior manager or executive level.
- Significant experience in ambulance operations with a focus on the emergency services communication function.
