We are seeking a qualified and experienced Director to lead our Conciliation and Services Directorate.
This opportunity is a Senior Executive Service (SES) role for a fixed term, full-time appointment for up to five (5) years.
About us
The Consumer Protection Division is responsible for promoting fair trading and consumer protection in Western Australia. The Conciliation and Services Directorate is responsible for Conciliation and trader intervention activities assisting businesses and consumers resolve disputes, and to remedy improper practices that impact consumers, bonds administration managing the smooth operation of the lodging and disposal of bonds for tenants and landlords and regional services representing Consumer Protection in the regions.

About the role
As the Director Conciliation and Services, you will lead and direct the operations of the Directorate. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, your responsibilities will include providing strategic advice on the directorate's operations and ensuring the achievement of outcomes identified in the Department's Strategic Plan and ongoing reform initiatives. In addition to overseeing the directorate's operations, this role requires professional leadership in actively promoting strategies, policies, and systems that guide the division toward a strategic direction. You will play a critical role in identifying emerging issues impacting consumers, along with taking charge of media services on behalf of the Industry Regulation and Consumer Protection Group.
This role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced leader to drive impactful change in consumer protection and industry regulation within Western Australia.
