The Director - Data, Analytics and AI Practice will be responsible for the enablement and upliftment of Data, Analytics, Reporting, AI and Business Intelligence skills and standards across the organization through the design, delivery and operation of one or many Advanced Data and Analytics Practice / Centre of Excellence entities.
This role will scale data, Analytics and AI functions globally and create pathways for the uplift of data and AI literacy creating the skilled workforce required to enable Cochlear to meet its business strategies and OKRs.
This role will require a strong demonstrated history of practice and business management across the Data and Analytics domains delivering processes and projects that enable data skills and culture transformation at scale. The ability to transform culture at an operational and leadership level is required for success, building and maintaining strong trusted relationships and removing blockers across the organization when it comes to achieving results with data and analytics.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Practice Management
- Establish and manage a Data, Analytics, and AI Practice structure that promotes growth and standardization across Cochlear.
- Develop a central capability with federated Centres of Excellence to scale skills and standards.
- Data Literacy and Skills Uplift
- Enhance Data, Analytics, and AI Literacy across all Cochlear functions.
- Promote safety through Data Governance and AI Ethics with comprehensive training and education.
- Data Strategy Execution
- Align business and data/AI strategies across all regions and functions.
- Collaborate with business units to explore and align on data opportunities.
- Data and AI Enablement
- Co-create Data and AI use-cases to capture and execute emerging value opportunities.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years in Data and Analytics or Technology functions.
- Strong experience in change management and technical leadership.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and vision alignment skills.
- Experience forming large, multi-disciplinary teams across geographies and functions.
- In-depth knowledge of industry trends in Data, Analytics, and AI.
- Experience in people management
Ideal:
- Experience running Data, Analytics, or AI Centres of Excellence.
- Large scale vendor and commercial management experience.
- Experience in Data Governance and/or Data Legislation or Policy.
