  • Lead the operational management of a new service and with a new Approved Provider.
  • Be rewarded, with bonuses offered aligned with your own goals. What motivates you? What is important to you? What constitutes a well running service success to you?
  • Approximately $100K - $140K per annum + super. This will be pending experience and qualifications.
  • In how the hours look for the ideal candidate - this can be flexible to suit. Ideal is 5 days a week, however can look at options that work for you and your needs as the service is established and running efficiently (perhaps a 9 day fortnight is right for you?).
  • Utilise extensive experience in previous ECE service operations and policy development to hit the ground running to ensure this service is ready for open.
  • Drive efficient setup of a new service, fostering a child-focused environment and problem-solving through situations including the setup of CCS (Child Care Subsidy) arrangements.
  • Blank Canvas for Vision: You have the chance to shape the vision and ethos of the service from the ground up, ensuring alignment with your own values and philosophies with the Approved Providers and the new team you get to help create.
  • Creative Freedom: With no established norms or expectations (within reason), you can explore creative approaches to Early Childhood Education and care, allowing you to tailor programs to meet the needs of the community best and keeping in line with the Approved Providers vision and mission.

About the Service:  

  • As it is NEW! And a brand new Approved Provider, with this being the first service to be operated, this is the unique part of the position where you get to be a foundational part in building this area about the service - the values, the connections with the community, and more.
  • Emphasis on play-based learning and child-focused learning within a safe, secure, and stimulating environment.
  • Centered on cultivating children's social and emotional development through play-based learning, while also fostering a passion for lifelong learning.
  • A large service approved for 100 places, however this is the upper limit - with ensuring ample opportunities for growth and impact to grow the service to the approved places.

About You:  

  • Essential: Seeking an experienced Director for the role.
  • Essential: Someone that is a self starter and motivator that can work autonomously, a solution orientated individual that is proactive and positive.
  • Essential: An ACECQA approved qualification relevant to ECE. Finding the right person who embodies the values and vision is paramount.
  • Essential: Demonstrates a growth mindset, embracing ongoing learning and development.
  • Essential: Proven ability to overcome challenges and adapt to changing circumstances - an excellent problem solver / creative thinker.
  • Essential: Extensive experience in operating an ECE service, particularly in policy development.
  • Essential: Genuine leadership style and approach to practices - an approachable person that can adapt to differing situations and people.
  • Essential: Ability to adapt and contextualise policies provided to suit the services unique context effectively.
  • Essential: Drive, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
  • Desired: Experience in operating a new service and setting up CCS (Child Care Subsidy) arrangements.
  • Desired: Current accredited Child Protection & First Aid (or willingness to obtain).

Child Safeguarding: Looking for an individual that will understand, adhere to, and promote The National Principles for Child Safe Organisations (the Child Safe Standards). In your position, you will help to take action to promote child wellbeing and prevent harm to children and young people. Child safeguarding methods for this position, include, but are not limited to:  

  • A NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain.
  • Thorough screening.
  • Reference checks.
  • A national criminal history check.
