At Kids' Uni, a proud division of UOW Pulse, we are committed to delivering exceptional early childhood education. The role 

Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for an experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join our leadership team.As the Service Director and Educational Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience at Kids' Uni North. Your responsibilities will encompass managing the operational aspects of the service, ensuring adherence to policies and legislation, and providing leadership and guidance to our passionate team of educators. 

In your capacity as the Nominated Supervisor and Educational Leader, you will lead the implementation of Kids' Uni's innovative curriculum and pedagogical approaches. Working alongside a dedicated leadership team, you will champion the best interests of our staff, children, and families. 

You will be supported in your role by the Head of Early Education, the Curriculum and Pedagogy Support Teacher, and our Inclusion Support Teacher, as well as through strong community partnerships such as Woolyungah Indigenous centre, UOW Early Start and UOW Early Years.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of Kids' Uni North, including staffing, programming, and resource management.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and legislation governing early childhood education and care.
  • Lead and inspire a team of educators through effective mentoring, coaching, and professional development initiatives.
  • Drive the implementation of Kids' Uni's philosophy and curriculum, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Collaborate with the wider leadership team to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives within the service.
  • Foster strong partnerships with families, community stakeholders, and external organizations to enrich the educational experience for children.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within an early childhood setting, with a proven track record of driving practice change and fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to react and respond effectively to emergency situations, tight deadlines, and parent concerns.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements in the operation of an Early Childhood Education and Care Service, with a commitment to upholding these standards at all times.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours to meet the operational demands of the service, as required.
