The Position
William Angliss Institute seeks a dynamic and collaborative leader to the Director Education position to lead the development and delivery of a diverse range of vocational and higher education and training programs across the five departments that report to this role in Victoria and New South Wales. This influential and crucial position plays an integral role in leading the education excellence and a growth agenda across the Institute, ensuring the delivery of a memorable learning experience for students.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and as a key member of the Institute's executive team, the Director Education will develop strategies for creative and innovative programs to ensure the Institute maintains its position as a leader in the delivery of foods, tourism, hospitality and events programs. Ensuring ongoing compliance and course accreditation, the Director Education will ensure that the Institute's education programs and pathways are future focussed, innovative and support outstanding and contemporary academic outcomes, and industry needs.
With executive experience in the vocational and/or higher education sector, the successful candidate will demonstrate a track record in achieving results in a commercial education delivery portfolio. Bringing strong links and networks in the foods, tourism, hospitality and events industries, you will also display exceptional leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead a team of managers in the development and implementation of a diverse range of vocational education and higher education programs. With an inclusive and positive leadership style, the Director will be enthusiastic in leading the Institute's education agenda, bringing a knowledge and behaviour enabling relevant accreditation processes and a creative mindset to achieve commercial growth.
The ideal candidate will hold a relevant postgraduate qualification, ideally a doctorate.
