Melbourne Polytechnic seeks an outstanding individual to provide strategic, educational and operational leadership for the design of the organisation’s education and training programs. Leading the development of high performing, collaborative and student-centred delivery, the Director, Education Design, Innovation and Services will oversee new and targeted programs, ensuring sustainability, future focus and success.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Academic Operations and with six direct reports, the Director will provide leadership and support in the achievement of educational and operational objectives to deliver quality learning experiences and outcomes for all students through effective and contemporary program design and delivery, including the optimal utilisation of teaching and learning, resources and infrastructure.
With relevant tertiary qualifications and broad academic experience across a range of educational settings, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a track record in the development and delivery of strategic educational initiatives. Outstanding leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a high performing team across multiple locations will be essential, with experience in complex, public sector settings. You will bring highly developed conceptual and analytical skills, a problem-solving mindset and a passion for leading change and driving improvement in student outcomes. With the ability to influence and negotiate across a broad stakeholder base, you will be able to obtain support at senior government and industry levels for the delivery of innovative programs and training services.
