The Position:
Reporting to the Executive Director of Operations, the Director Family and Community Safety Services ensures the efficient and effective delivery of high-quality services aimed at addressing issues relating to family and domestic violence. The position is accountable for developing and delivering innovative and evidence-informed services that effectively respond to people who are violent and abusive or those people who experience violence and abuse. The Director leads a team of 90 people ensuring a values aligned culture which engages and motivates the workforce to achieve expectations. The Director also identifies, explores, and optimises opportunities for growth and diversification.
As a leader in the Operations management team, the role is also responsible for demonstrating high level leadership behaviours across the organisation, and for establishing and maintaining productive relationships with key stakeholders.
About You:
Our preferred candidate will already have exceptional and demonstrated experience in leading large teams in delivering complex human services within a community services/not for profit environment. You are experienced at developing and implementing successful organisational and service strategies and programs with sound policy development skills. You should have a comprehensive knowledge of Family Domestic Violence and Abuse and men’s behaviour change programs.
Your leadership style recognises and incorporates individual differences and develops and empowers others to maximise engagement and productivity. The Director will bring a genuine and inclusive interpersonal style which encourages the development, cooperation, and support of others. A proven ability to understand others and to adapt your approach and style to persuade and positively influence is also important.
