This key senior leadership role as Director - Finance, reporting to the Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, is responsible for providing the financial and procurement services required to support the University's broad activities. Managing a staff of 21 this unique opportunity will provide this manager with the platform to review the work processes and activities of Finance and recommend opportunities for improvement. Responsibilities also include contributing to organisational strategic and operational planning. This will encompass providing leadership, advice, and guidance to the University regarding the strategic utilisation of assets and effective long-term financial management, as well as contribution to the development of business plans for new opportunities.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced finance leader with a successful track record producing financial and management accounts for a medium to large complex multi-unit organisation. Experience managing a high transactional volume, highly automated, financial accounting function will also be relevant. Evidence of change management and continuous improvement in finance processes and systems is important for this role. CPA or CA is required for this role.
