About the role
As Director, Finance Optimisation, you will be responsible for the provision of trusted financial and strategic advice at an Executive level regarding the pursuit of available and new VET and industry funding opportunities and ensuring that TAFE NSW is totally focused on the optimisation of revenue streams and resource utilisation. Reporting to the Deputy CFO, you will lead a team of high performing finance and reporting professionals to provide guidance and insight into a range of strategic challenges, including modelling and deep analysis on organisational results.
You will work collaboratively with the CFO, Senior Executive Management and the wider finance group to improve financial insight and understanding across the organisation.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have significant experience providing strategic advice to high-level stakeholders in a complex environment. You will also have strong reporting, modelling and analytical skills, with demonstrated experience translating insights into implementable recommendations. Your advanced finance skills and degree qualification including professional CA/CPA or equivalent membership will enable you to provide accurate, relevant information, data and other collateral to the Executive Team in a transformational environment.
Demonstrated skills and experience in building strong, collaborative partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders is essential to be able partner with a large number of key stakeholders who have varying levels of financial acumen, to communicate and report on TAFE NSW's financial planning at the organisational and local level. You will have strong influencing and negotiation skills with proven analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to analyse and interpret financial results of a business with multi-faceted operations and have led a small team.
