The Role
In this pivotal position, you'll:
- Shape the Landscape: Manage the integration of risk management into our health and safety program, ensuring it's seamlessly woven into our university's fabric.
- Predict the Future: Analyse safety data to foresee opportunities and risks. Your insights will be the guiding stars on our journey.
- Foster Wellbeing: Develop a contemporary and robust health and safety management system that nourishes wellbeing in every corner of our community.
- Empower the Team: Lead the charge in establishing consultative mechanisms that amplify effective communication and decision-making.
- Heal and Empower: Champion a comprehensive injury/illness management system, offering support and guidance to our valued team members on their path to recovery and return to work.
About you
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A track record of catalysing transformative health, safety, and Wellbeing initiatives.
- Leadership prowess that can inspire and guide a diverse community.
- The strategic genius to craft and implement best practice safety standards and procedures.
- A degree in Health and Safety, Organisational Psychology, or a related field.

Salary: A competitive executive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
Location: Toowoomba Campus, with regular travel required to other UniSQ campuses.
