Title of Position Director, Landon Saunders Center for Joyand Human Flourishing Posting Location Abilene, Texas Department Brown Library Employee Class Exempt Full-time Basic Responsibilities
Create and collaborate in deploying a vision for the Landon Saunders Center for Joyand Human Flourishing, a new academic center based at ACU that will work to instill themes of joy, belonging, and flourishing in ACU students, faculty, and staff.
Cultivate strategic partnerships between religious and non-religious institutions that promote Joy and Human Flourishing, both inside and outside the ACU community.
Work in partnership with the Saunders Center's Senior Fellow(s) to amplify relevant programming, content, and operations locally, nationally, and internationally.
Manage day-to-day operations of the Saunders Center, supervising a team of student workers hired to assist with the center's mission.
If credentialed, may teach university courses in the director's area of subject expertise.
Essential Duties
I. Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.
Work with the advisory committee to develop the mission and vision for the center.
Use survey data from the Thriving survey and NSSE survey to determine how the community will be best served by the center.
Develop and manage a physical space on the ACU campus to promote and implement the center's goals.
Host and curate conversations in the form of curricular planning, conferences, multimedia content, and lecture events for religious, corporate, and academic groups who are stakeholders within the ACU community.
Develop partnerships with academic centers and religious communities that strategically align with the goals of the center.
Promote the Center and raise awareness of its mission and activities.
II. Accountable for program operations, including annual operating budget and management of human and capital resources.
Ensure compliance with all applicable university policy and procedures.
Track, measure and report on progress and impact of Center programs to relevant stakeholders.
Identify and pursue funding opportunities to support the Center.

Qualifications
Professional
Master's degree required. Doctoral degree or equivalent preferred.
Five years of relevant work experience in higher education, marketing, non-profit management, or ministry
Demonstrated ability to develop, implement or supervise strategic plans, events, programs, or conferences.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively through speaking and writing.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets; prior fundraising or grant writing experience is preferred
The person in this position frequently communicates with faculty, senior leaders and external constituents. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
