About the Role:
The Director of Medical Services will report to the Executive Director of Medical Services (EDMS) and will be responsible for ensuring the support and oversight of Clinical Governance to deliver safe, high-quality medical care across SALHN sites. The duties of the Director of Medical Services will be diverse and may include addressing clinical concerns at short notice, as directed by the EDMS.
The role encompasses significant responsibilities such as risk management, primarily focused on Clinical Governance, extensive data analysis and monitoring, responding to clinical outcome data, and supporting relevant systems. The Director is also expected to take a leading role or participate in Executive and Divisional Leads meetings and engage in SA Health initiated strategies and projects.
About you:
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
- Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration.
- Extensive clinical experience.
- Extensive experience in undertaking clinical review.
- Demonstrated high standard of clinical practice at consultant level, perferrable of 5 years.
