Director of Brand Marketing

This unparalleled opportunity to shape, embed, and deliver a purpose-led brand proposition for a successful yet largely unknown, technical professional services company. This high-profile role will be responsible for all aspects of strategic Brand Marketing, global external communications, and public affairs. It will be charged with the responsibility of crafting a multiyear, purpose-driven integrated brand plan that drives a reappraisal of BSI. Working across, verbal and visual identities the job holder will be tasked with creating a compelling and consistent brand experience that conveys a forward-looking and future-ready organization. Additionally, the role will play a significant role in BSI's transformation by partnering very closely with BSI's HR function to align and embed the brand with BSI's culture and values, building a 'one BSI' ethos and future-ready organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the custodian of the BSI brand and value proposition and organisational positioning to ensure they continue to be relevant, contemporary, and appropriate and are used extensively across the organisation.
  • Collaborate closely with the group business intelligence team and each stream to understand their strategic commercial priorities and product/service lifecycle roadmaps to develop global brand-led marketing campaigns that can be adapted, adopted, and amplified to drive brand reach and engagement, market share, and revenue growth.
  • Using Paid, Earned, Shared, and Owned channels to deliver produced brand assets to present a compelling global public image of the BSI brand as a trusted catalyst of change, improving society and shaping a better world for all through its operations and its partnerships with industry, governments, regulators, and legislators.
  • Collaborate with commercial leaders and other key internal stakeholders to define and implement the value proposition to support the delivery of the annual group brand plan and achievement of annual commercial targets.
  • In collaboration with group business intelligence, group marketing communications teams', streams, sectors, regions, countries, and all other functions create a brand-led campaign and content roadmap designed to meet the organization's commercial objectives when executed by the global marketing team.
  • Use research and data to build a deep understanding of the BSI business drivers, competitive positioning, and market dynamics to support informed working relationships with all key internal and external stakeholders driving a significant return on investment with measured impact aligning the brand positioning closely with our organizational values, commercial strategy, strategic themes and thought leadership objectives.
  • Input and drive strategic initiatives pertinent to marketing to enhance efficiency and synergy.
  • Define appropriate and latest marketing vehicles to convey the marketing messages ensuring they are simple, compelling, and relevant.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Educated to degree level e.g. Diploma in Marketing will be preferred
  • Extensive marketing experience in the full marketing mix, especially current tactics e.g., content, and digital marketing
  • Significant international Marketing experience and demonstrable track record in a B2B professional services organisation.
  • Track record of creating and executing successful marketing plans
  • Previous senior leadership experience in leading a regional marketing team, directly or indirectly.
  • A proven track record in developing and executing business strategies, identifying opportunities, developing value propositions, and GTM campaigns.
  • A proven track record in account-based marketing, developing relationships, and driving revenue in targeted accounts.
  • Knowledge, experience, and interest in market trends, recognising the value of data sharing to identify, and exploit, new business opportunities, and new markets.
  • Experience in working within a global matrix structure, driving collaboration whilst leading direct and indirect teams that are typically geographically dispersed.
  • Proven ability to identify, assess, and communicate the commercial impacts of marketing and their contribution to financial targets, within the business.
