We are looking to appoint a Director of Care to lead and manage a well-established Aged Care facility in the heart of Byron Bay. We are looking for an experienced and compassionate AHPRA registered manager to lead the team Byron Aged Care. This includes instilling a high awareness culture to ensure our residents receive the highest class of respectful care.
The primary focus will be to lead the residential care and clinical care teams, the business and workforce planning as well as systems to ensure effective service delivery and quality of Care. This includes overseeing the facility operations in all matters relating to standard of Care, legislative requirements, staffing, finances, accreditation and business operations. You will utilise your knowledge of the current Australian Government funded aged care system as well as home care standards and consumer directed care with demonstrated ability to lead business and resource planning to deliver outcomes on time and within budget.
Requirements for Success
- Significant management experience in aged care or related residential clinical care management and a commitment to lead the clinical team
- Post-graduate level qualification in health management, business or related field (a Registered Nurse with unrestricted AHPRA registration is ideal)
- Strong track record in leading resident-centred, quality and compliant services to improve the well-being of the frail aged
- A track record in innovation, service design and improvement and leading change
- Demonstrated ability to lead business and resource planning and deliver outcomes on time and within budget
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and experience, together with the ability to advocate and influence stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
- Experience in people management, coaching, mentoring and professional development of others
- Understanding of the AN-ACC, the Single Quality Framework and Quality & Accreditation standards
