Role Overview: As the Director of Commercial IT, you will report directly to our new Chief Information Officer (CIO) and play a pivotal role in our tech team of approximately 500 professionals. Your primary responsibilities will include negotiation and engagement with major global technology partners, strategic procurement, and financial management to bring down rapidly increasing technology costs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead negotiation and engagement efforts with major global technology partners.
• Manage the IT budget and implement strategies to reduce costs.
• Develop strategic vendor plans and provide advisory services to business areas to drive savings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize technology procurement, strategic sourcing, and category management.
• Utilize your expertise in IT supply chain management to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
• Leverage your background in procurement, contract negotiation, and legal experience to ensure favorable terms and agreements.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in technology procurement and commercial negotiations.
• Background in strategic sourcing, financial management, and category management.
• Previous roles in large-scale ASX top 100 businesses preferred.
• Exposure to IT supply chain management and accounting practices.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
