ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a great opportunity for an engineering graduate who’s undertaken work experience within civil or structural construction or, a second - or third-year graduate who has been working within the industry and is keen to experience a client-side role with a major asset owner to grow your career.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Assist team members to scope, plan and execute allocated works packages to ensure quality, on time delivery and within budget. This requires an understanding of project management skills including planning, estimating, contract management and administration, site supervision and cost control.
- Support in project and contract administration, technical specifications and reporting.
- Monitoring project progress, control costs and prepare monthly progress reports with respect to compliance and set requirements to support best outcomes and provide clear communications to all key stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are managed to internal technical standards and quality assurance programs. Identify gaps, changes or improvements to these standards and programs.
- Conducting risk assessments and preparing file notes and other internal documentation to ensure activities are logged, actioned and filed for future reference.
- Identify and assess opportunities for optimisation of the project through the construction phase
- Maintaining and promoting a strong focus on safety
Ideally you will have:
- Solid interpersonal skill for effective day-to-day communication with all relevant internal and external stake holders
- Some practical work experience within civil (engineering and/or construction) with site exposure.
- Knowledge of OH&S requirements applicable to construction, together with an understanding of project management & engineering principles.
A tertiary Civil, Structural engineering qualification or equivalent is essential, along with a person who’s motivated to take on new challenges.
