We are assisting them as they grow in response to the exceptional opportunities presented on existing and future pipeline projects for infrastructure, utilities and mining in NSW and across Australia. Currently they have a genuine career opportunity for a talented Manager - Electrical Department.
The role assumes overall responsibility for the Electrical Department operations, providing leadership and technical oversight to the design, engineering and production teams to achieve job profitability, on time deliveries and safe and quality products and services, in line with the company’s HSEQ system.
Typical role responsibilities include
• Preparation of project schedules and communication of progress to relevant teams
• Manage interdepartmental issues and propose resolutions
• Participate in estimating, design, and project management meetings as required
• Liaise with clients and suppliers and provide support to the General Manager
• Champion the company’s HSEQ system
Required Qualifications and Skills
• Recognised degree or certificate/diploma in electrical/power industry or equivalent.
• Previous management experience within the Electrical Industry and/or Electrical Switchboards industry.
• Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the Australian Standards AS3000, AS61439 standards and operations.
• Experience in estimating of electrical switchboards, highly advantageous
• Exceptional communication, leadership and motivational skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
