About the Role

The Director of Food and Beverage, reports to our General Manager and will oversee our Event venues, Tea Lounge, Promenade Cafe and Speakers Corner.  Functioning as the Business Manager and Marketing specialist for the Food and Beverage department, you will be responsible for managing these outlets as successful independent profit centres, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction consistent with Hyatt International standards.

The Director of Food and Beverage must have strong communication and analytical skills, coupled with a passion for creating positively memorable experiences for a diverse range of clientele.  Proven demonstrated ability to successfully market outlets, within a hotel environment, highly regarded.

Some of the responsibilities include:

·         Building and nurturing positive, professional relationships with both guests and colleagues alike.

·         Developing and implementing strategies to increase sales and profitability, such as upselling techniques or promotional events.

·         Developing and executing marketing plans to attract customers, including advertising, promotions, and special events.

·         Ensuring venues are prepared for service according to defined standards.

·         Collaborating closely with chefs to create and update menus, ensuring variety, quality, and profitability.

·         Hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising team members, including Food and Beverage attendants, hosts, bartenders, supervisors.

·         Managing budgets for the outlets, monitoring expenses, and maximizing revenue while minimizing costs.

Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as hotel policies and procedures.
