At Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ), we develop world-leading standards to ensure a safe food supply for Australia and New Zealand. We do so by maintaining an effective, transparent and accountable regulatory framework. Our work includes analytical and behavioural research, the development of industry standards, food incident response, education and public awareness, and corporate services. Qualifications & experience
- Required experience
- The successful candidate must:
- be a generalist with qualifications, skills and/or experience in workforce planning; industrial relations, employment conditions, payroll, and recruitment,
- maintain a focus on customer service, sustainable workforce planning and people development;
- display strong communication skills and an ability to establish effective internal and external networks, and
- Knowledge of the Acendre recruitment platform and Aurion payroll system would be highly desirable.
Tasks & responsibilities
- The duties of this position include:
- custodian of the FSANZ’s workforce plan - developing evidence based workforce planning frameworks and supporting strategies by undertaking objective and systematic workforce analysis in line with Australian and International standards, and best practice models.
- understand and manage a small team in the use of the Acendre recruitment platform in line with the recruitment policy and procedural instruction. Provide recruitment advice across the agency to all levels as required.
- contributing to recruitment, selection, induction, engagement and separation policies and practices and supporting recruitment panels as required.
- providing accurate and timely HR policy advice to enable employment decisions.
- oversee the Aurion payroll function and manage the payroll team including building business process automation and provide strategic payroll advice as required.
- workplace relations advice as it relates to the agency’s enterprise agreement, enterprise bargaining and engaging with associated stakeholders (internal and external).
- developing and implementing organisational diversity and inclusion plans.
- creating, implementing, monitoring and evaluating human resource frameworks, strategies, policies, plans and procedures to meet organisational needs. creating, implementing, monitoring and evaluating human resource frameworks, strategies, policies, plans and procedures to meet organisational needs.
- Lead and manage a team of HR professionals.
