Director of Nursing

Director of Nursing - Residential Aged Care Currently seeking a strong Director of Nursing to join a medium sized home in South East Melbourne. This values driven NFP organisation are looking for a passionate and experienced manager to oversee all operations of their well-run facility.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and oversee the day-to-day operational, quality and compliance requirements within the facility 
• Responsible for admissions, clinical care and lifestyle planning.
• Manage staff performance, rosters, and staffing needs 
• Monitor budgets and forecast budgetary needs 
• Contribute to the governance of the organisation through board reports, policy development, and monitoring/forecasting needs 
• Ensure sustainability and improve efficiency within the facility 
• Reporting directly to the CEO 

Requirements: 

• Previous experience as a Facility Manager or Director of Nursing
• Registered Nurse (DIV 1)
• Demonstrated leadership skills within residential aged care 
• Demonstrated knowledge of accreditation standards and understanding of continuous improvement
• Up to date with the changing environment of Aged Care
• Great understanding of aged care legislation
• Superior communication skills both written and verbal
• Organised and an ability to use online systems
• Strong clinical skills
