Do you have a passion for driving outstanding patient outcomes by combining excellence in clinical care with teaching and research to enhance patient outcome and improve lives? This could be the role for you as we are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to assist us in delivering this vision.
As the Director of Nursing, you would be responsible for leading and overseeing all strategic aspects of the nursing services and all clinical governance structure across the 173 bed facility and associated specialist clinics that is MQ Health. In addition to working in the hospital you would also have strategic nursing responsibilities in the new Macquarie Nursing School as part of Macquarie University's Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences.

About You
You will have demonstrated knowledge and success as a strategic nurse in a not for profit or private healthcare setting working with sustainable and measurable financial KPIs. While the sustainability of our business is important you will understand how to balance this with improved patient and staff experience outcomes. Due to the fast moving environment MQ Health operates within you will be comfortable making key decisions in a timely manner that balances all aspects of our business and key stakeholders.

- Postgraduate tertiary qualifications in business management or a relevant field with significant recent experience in operational hospital management role in a private or not for profit healthcare setting
- A keen interest in nursing academic performance and academic leadership
- Experience in strategic and business planning with the ability to manage large and complex projects
- Experience in developing and managing budgets and KPIs in a not for profit private healthcare setting
- Demonstrated ability to making key decisions in a timely manner that reflect a fast moving environment
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and partnerships with key business and government stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of the executive team, contributing to hospital and faculty strategic planning and the ability to translate and implement these as part of the school's core areas of teaching, research, and engagement.
