ABOUT THE ROLE
This position presents the opportunity to lead the Talent and Culture strategies for the resort, overseeing development, improvements, and implementation. Responsibilities include managing all Talent and Culture functions and activities, such as:
- Talent & Culture (T&C) Strategic Plan: Develop, communicate, and implement the annual T&C Department Plan.
- Talent Acquisition: Oversee recruitment, selection, and retention processes.
- Talent Development: Evaluate, implement, and design training programs to enhance organizational capability in alignment with business strategy and goals.
- Reward and Recognition: Drive and regularly review T&C solutions, including reward and recognition, employee wellbeing, talent management, and leadership programs.
- Compensation and Benefits: Supervise the salary/award review process.
- Industrial Relations and WHS: Manage industrial relations within the Hotel, ensuring proactive communication and interaction, and accurately document meetings and disciplinary actions.
- Award Interpretation: Ensure compliance with relevant awards and communicate changes to the team and other stakeholders.
- Talent & Culture Metrics: Prepare monthly and ad hoc T&C reports.
- Financial Performance: Ensure payroll for the Hotel complies with statutory regulations and company guidelines. Implement T&C activities within budgeted guidelines and time frames. Assist in developing the Annual Business Plan and Financial Budget and control expenditure during the financial year.
- Change Management and Development: Continuously review and enhance T&C operations and people strategies to maximize outcomes for both individuals and business performance.
ABOUT YOU
We seek a highly motivated, engaging, and professional individual with a consultative and coaching style. Key qualifications and skills include:
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in a T&C/HR capacity within the Hospitality or similar industry.
- Generalist HR skills and the ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members and managers.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and commercial awareness.
- Hands-on experience across the end-to-end T&C/HR cycle, including recruitment, WHS, performance management, and learning and development.
- Thorough understanding of Australian employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act and Modern Award.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft.
