Role Details
The Director, Office of the Chief Executive will provide leadership, strategic advice and drive the delivery of key innovative projects and policy initiatives that support the Premier’s strategic directions. The Director, Office of the Chief Executive will lead and coordinate significant government initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, represent the State’s interests in national forums and provide advice on innovative public policy development for South Australia. The Director will lead the Office of the Chief Executive ensuring the timely and effective operation of all processes; quality assurance of departmental briefings; and provision of strategic advice required by the Chief Executive and other Senior Executives (as determined), including interaction with the offices of the Premier, Deputy Premier, Treasurer and other Ministerial Offices and government agencies. The Director will contribute to the department’s governance and leadership.
- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
- The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
- Some interstate travel involving overnight absences will be required.
- This role requires a National Criminal History check.
- This role requires a Security Clearance (including Baseline, Negative Vetting Level 1, Negative Vetting Level 2, Positive Vetting)

Through these streams, the OCE works with other DPC divisions to enhance, integrate and apply a strategic lens to the department's collective work.
