Role Description:
Reporting to and working closely with the Senior Director, People & Culture & Corporate Services - the Director, People & Culture supports the organisation to deliver People & Culture and WHS services and projects in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating the provision of high quality HR services and projects, which may include learning and development, workforce planning, case management, information and records management, procurement, facilities, security and fleet services
- Coordinating the provision of high quality Work Health & Safety (WHS) services including compliance with relevant legislation
- Managing the services provided under any agreement with a Government Directorate or other entity to ensure optimum and measurable service provision
- Preparing high level correspondence and briefing papers including Board papers and Ministerials
- Building and maintaining productive relationships with stakeholders, including internal SLA staff
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or 3-5 years experience in a similar role
- Experience in any of the following areas will be highly regarded: learning and development, strategic workforce planning and case management
- Demonstrated technical skills related to case management learning and development and/or strategic workforce planning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - with the ability to influence stakeholders and interpret and respond to government legislation and requirements.
- Negotiation skills with a proven ability to influence positive outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others; to plan and manage workloads, work to multiple deadlines and deliver high quality outputs and results under pressure
- Demonstrated ability to lead a positive culture and work collaboratively with Senior Executives and stakeholders to implement HR initiatives and change
- Demonstrated understanding and application of ACT Public Service values including strong self-awareness, ethical standards and commitment to implementation of the principles of workplace diversity, participative work practices, workplace health and safety, and staff learning and development
