We apply scientific knowledge to solve practical problems to achieve effective outcomes for the benefit of the State.The Scientific Services Division provides services including complex chemical analyses, problem solving, and investigative and collaborative research projects. These activities involve the application of chemistry to the environment, public and occupational health, emergency response, State-based industries, and State development. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, in this role you will be responsible for the leadership and management of the Scientific Services Division which comprises of talented and high-performing scientists and technicians.Using a collaborative and strategic approach, you will create a culture of continuous learning and innovation that empowers, motivates, and develops staff, ensuring optimum levels of capability are available to meet business and revenue objectives.Drawing on your knowledge of advanced modern analytical chemistry, you will provide high level scientific advice that will inform Government scientific policy and legislation.
