We are looking for passionate and motivated supervisors to assist our supported employees to achieve their individual goals with Challenge Southern Highlands. The position is based in our Commercial Services division, located within the Welby Garden Centre. The centre is a landmark space that offers both a creative and nurturing environment, where people with disabilities can grow their skill sets through meaningful employment.
You will be patient, well organised, have a professional attitude with the ability to inspire our team of supported employees. The role will involve breaking down complex initiatives and providing clear instructions to ensure our clients can complete allocated tasks. These will include activities across a diverse range of business initiatives such as secure document destruction, light manufacturing, mail distribution, packaging, lawn mowing/garden maintenance, and nursery work.
Qualifications & experience
- Professional can do attitude and appearance
- Good communication skills
- Fast learner with a high degree of attention to detail
- Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise tasks
- Cert III OR IV Disability (preferred but not essential)
- Current Drivers License
Tasks & responsibilities
- Supervision and direction of supported employees
- Processing & managing customer orders, inquires and ensuring deadlines are met
- Effective communication to key stake holders with the ability to adapt to changes
- Assisting the Supported Employment Relations Manager and Commercial Services Manager where required
