Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.
The Role:
We are currently looking for Disability Support Workers to partner with female participant in her mid-40's who is based in Willow Vale, QLD. Our participant has sustained a spinal cord injury which has resulted in limited mobility.
There are Morning shifts available. The shift hours will be (Weekdays: 6am - 9am / Saturdays: 7am to 10am).
Due the complexity of the participant, candidates with high-level care experience (Bowel care/catheter care, etc) or candidates who have worked with similar Spinal Cord Injury clients previously, will be highly regarded.
Successful candidates will be commencing ASAP. Hence, we are seeking reliable and experienced Support Workers for this role.
Pay Rates:
- Day - $38.75 per hour
- Afternoon - $42.63 per hour
- Saturday - $54.25 per hour
- Sunday - $69.75 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Assistance with personal care
- Assistance with catheter management
- Manual handling/Transfers
- Assistance with bowel therapy (administering enema and digital stimulation)
- Completing skin checks
- Perform Cough Assist as required
- Prompting Medication
- Assistance with domestic tasks including cleaning & meal preparation
- Assistance with Health & Rehab exercises
- Community access + rehab appointments
Skills & Experiences:
- Australian Driver Licence
- Current National Police Clearance
- Current Blue Card
- Current Yellow Card
- First Aid & CPR Certificate
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Reliable, proactive, and positive attitude.
