We are seeking passionate and driven Disability Support Workers for our SIL homes and Community. Central Coast and Hunter-based. Part-time and Casual positions with flexible working times are available. Rewarding roles within a supportive and friendly environment. Disability Support Workers role will be to support participants with various physical, intellectual and mental disabilities with daily activities including medication administration, meal preparation and management, mobility assistance, and domestic duties. In this position you will be required to perform all aspects of personal care for complex-needs clients, which may include; assistance with daily living needs, bowel care, catheter care, peg feeding and the use of equipment for manual handling transfers.
Active Night Shift Available
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- A current and valid driver’s license.
- A current First Aid Certificate (and the ability to maintain a current certificate throughout the duration of employment).
- Current vehicle insurance (and the ability to maintain this throughout the duration of employment.
- An NDIS Worker Screening Check or willing to obtain - essential
- Completion of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards online worker training module.
- Certificate of completion for training in Medication Management.
- Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability or Individual Support
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- National Police Check
- Working with Children Check or willing to obtain
- Experience in mental health - Preferred
