About the role
The Inclusion Way currently has vacancies for casual / part time Disability Support Workers. Disability Support Workers deliver safe, personalised and inclusive programmes which allow NDIS participants predominantly aged between 4 and 25 years old to learn & develop life-skills and fully participate in the community.
As a Disability Support Worker with The Inclusion Way, you will help run group activities and provide direct care to individuals at various locations including participant's homes, the wider community and at The Inclusion Way’s centre in Highton during shifts from Monday-Sunday.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Assisting with centre and community based group activities and excursions & personalised care at home.
- Providing direct care to individuals e.g. personal care, medication administration, meal preparation & assistance.
- Considering and managing risks to the health, safety & wellbeing of participants.
- Following organisational policies and procedures including completion of administrative tasks.
- Communicating & liaising with other staff and reporting to team leaders daily.

- Calm & supportive nature.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in a Support Worker / Allied Health / Educational role an advantage.
- Currently pursuing further education in Allied Health / Disability Courses / Education / Social Work / Psychology an advantage.
- Driver's License, Comprehensive Car Insurance & a reliable vehicle for client transportation.
- Police and Working With Children checks.
- Current CPR & First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain.
- Mandatory Vaccine checks including Covid-19 and up to date Flu Vaccinations.
