Disability Support Worker

Infinity Supports WA has been operating since 2021 supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals and live their best lives. We believe in a “person centred” approach and work with our participants to provide individualised services both in home and community. At present, we are looking to add Support Workers to our expanding team in Rockingham and wider peel region.

 As a Support Worker, you will be required to assist our participants to achieve their goals as per their NDIS plans. This may include but not limited to social & community participation, support in home, assistance with personal care and household chores. And various other duties as instructed by the service delivery coordinator. 

• Support Worker provides one on one individualised support to client in their home or in a community setting.
• Provide support to a client to meet emotional and psychological needs.
• Provide care support which is responsive to the client’s individual needs.
• Support Worker is required to conduct all manual handling tasks when required during provision of transport of client. Individual care plan provides information and levels of assistance, equipment/aids used to maintain client and Support Worker safety. 
• Always maintain the dignity and respect of the client.
• Always maintain the rights of the clients during service provision.
• Reporting and documenting as per organisational policies.
• The Support Worker ensures the clients safety and supervision during service provision. 
• Adhere to Individualised care plan and documentation that provide strategies to engage and communicate effectively with the client to enhance service delivery. 
• Support Worker is required to maintain regular communication with the Service Delivery Manager.
• Maintain Workplace Health and Safety by adhering to the client’s care plan. 
• Identification and reporting of hazards – environmental, mechanical, and other potential hazards noted during service provision. 
• Use of PPE as identified on care plan and when extraordinary event occurs. 
• Comply with all policies and procedures relevant to performing tasks within a client’s home and in community. 
• Required to perform and complete other duties as required keeping within a Support Workers scope of practice.

• Fluency in English
• Current driving license and fully insured reliable car.

• NDIS workers clearance
• Current Working with children’s check or willingness to obtain one
• Up to date COVID 19 Vaccination including booster dose
• NDIS worker orientation module
• NDIS worker induction module
• Manual handling and Medication assistance training (preferred but not mandatory)
• Local to Rockingham, Mandurah, and wider peel region. 
• At least 3 days of availability per week

This is a casual position and the level of pay would be equivalent to SCHADS level 2.1. There is a high chance of this role becoming permanent on completion of six months’ probation. Your working hours may include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
